Top 5 Community Episodes and Joel McHale Ticket Giveaway

  • Date: August 30, 2016

We’re just a little bit excited to have Joel McHale come to Spirit Mountain Casino this November. Is there any better way to start the countdown than revisiting our favorite Community episodes? Here are five that top our list:

“Pillows and Blankets”
This third season favorite took the style of the Ken Burns Civil War documentary and turned it into sheer comedic genius. When pillows are pitted against blankets, all-out war breaks out on campus - and the result isn’t pretty.

“Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking”
We love the mockumentary style of this season two episode. After feeling rejected by his study group, Pierce seeks revenge by pretending to be on his deathbed. What follows is a series of mind games that meet hilarious results.

“Digital Estate Planning”
If you grew up playing Nintendo or Sega games, you’ll understand why this one tops our list. With its 80's video game-inspired imagery and soundtrack, this episode is a visual treat that makes you feel like you’ve just fallen into Sonic the Hedgehog or Super Mario.

“Advanced Dungeons & Dragons”
D&D fans and newbies alike can appreciate this season two episode. The study group gathers together for a game of Dungeons & Dragons, where Pierce and Neil butt heads - but ultimately come out of the game stronger for it.

“Remedial Chaos Theory”
With multiple plotlines and a nod to sci-fi stories, this season three favorite takes the cake as one of the most untraditional episodes of Community. Its unconventional style and big laughs earned writer Chris McKenna an Emmy nomination.
