Bonus Let it Ride Poker always gets seats filled around the card table at Spirit Mountain Casino. Here are a few tips and tricks to get you among the ranks of expert players next time you pick up your cards.
First, a Quick Intro
Bonus Let it Ride Poker is based on five-card poker, but there’s a catch: All of the players at the table are invited to use two community cards, which they can combine with their own hand when betting. If you’re able to create a pair of tens or better, it’s time to celebrate.
With Bonus Let it Ride Poker, you aren’t playing against the dealer or the other players. Instead, you’re working on your own to make yourself a winner.
The Basics on How to Play
It all starts with you making three bets, each of the same size. Next, the dealer will give you three cards. Then, they'll place two cards face-down on the table - these are called the community cards.
After looking at your three cards, you’ll either take your bet back or opt to “Let It Ride.” After, the dealer will flip one of the community cards. You’ve got a repeat choice next, where you can either have your bet returned or “Let it Ride” again. Then, the dealer reveals the second community card. If you have a pair of tens or higher, you can call yourself a winner.
Two Strategies That Can Help You Win
There are two primary strategies that players use to win. Give these a try next time you find yourself at the card table:
Three Card Strategy
If you choose to “Let it Ride” in the first betting round, you’ll want:
- A pair of tens or higher
- Three of a kind
- Three same-suit cards in a row
- Three cards in a straight flush with a gap and a card valued at 10
- Three cards in a straight flush with two gaps and two cards valued at 10 or more
Four Card Strategy
Should you “Let it Ride” after the second betting round, these hands will make you a winner:
- Two pairs
- Four of a kind
- Four cards of a straight flush
- A card valued at 10 or higher plus four cards that could create an outside straight flush
