Don’t Miss Engelbert Humperdinck in Concert at Spirit Mountain Casino

August 22, 2019

Now’s your chance to see Engelbert Humperdinck live at your favorite Oregon casino! While Humperdinck’s last concert at Spirit Mountain Casino was postponed due to inclement weather, we’re excited for a second chance to experience all The Angel on my Shoulder Tour has to offer. Tickets are going fast, so make sure you buy your tickets for the October 12th Engelbert Humperdinck concert before it’s too late.

Engelbert Humperdinck Music

Born Arnold George Dorsey, Humperdinck was a somewhat unlikely candidate to become a famous singer and performer. While he loved music and started playing saxophone at the age of 11, he was very shy. In fact, he only gained his stage confidence by performing impersonations of famous celebrities like Jerry Lewis. His Lewis impersonation landed him his first stage name, Gerry Dorsey, but after contracting Tuberculosis, which stalled his music career, he made a decision to create a new stage name and persona: Engelbert Humperdinck.

Engelbert Humperdinck Songs

With more than 50 years of experience in the music industry, Engelbert Humperdinck’s greatest hits span decades and genres, including everything from romantic ballads to gospel arrangements. With such an extensive musical career, it’s hard to know what Humperdinck will play at the concert, but here are some of the songs we’re hoping to hear during The Angel on my Shoulder Tour.

“After the Lovin’”

“After the Lovin’” is a hit off of Engelbert Humperdinck’s album Let’s Remember the Good Times. While the song didn’t chart in the UK, it gained popularity in the United States, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand and was his first single to make the Country Top 40. In fact, the song was later covered by country star Barbara Mandrell.

“Spanish Eyes”

Written by musical legend Bert Kaempfert, “Spanish Eyes” includes Spanish and English verses and shows off Humperdinck’s vocal and emotional range. A popular hit among fans, “Spanish Eyes” appears on both his Greatest Hits and Greatest Love Songs albums, as well as other live albums.
