Kevin Selfe & The Tornadoes: Friday, January 6th and Saturday, January 7th from 9pm to 1am
The blues have arrived in the Pacific Northwest. Selfe and his band deliver deft storytelling, syrupy lyrics, and instrumentals that you’ll want to tap your feet to. With a Cascade Blues Association Hall of Fame induction and 20 Muddy Awards to their name, Kevin Selfe & The Tornadoes promise a night of blues you won’t soon forget.
Franco Paletta & The Stingers: Friday, January 13th and Saturday, January 14th from 9pm to 1am
“Catch a blues buzz” with this Portland legend! Sizzling harmonica and piano join forces with Paletta’s unique voice and guitar riffs to make this the complete package. You’re in for a night of original music that will transport you to the traditional sounds of New Orleans and Memphis.
Lil’ Queenie: Friday, January 20th and Saturday, January 21st from 9pm to 1am
With a cumulative 300 years logged in the Portland music scene, the members of Lil’ Queenie know a thing or two about creating great sound and energy. With strong female vocals punctuated by a serious horns section, this group will treat you to a night of blues, roots rock, and soul.
Harvey Brindell & The Tablerockers: Friday, January 27th and Saturday, January 28th from 9pm to 1am
Round out the month with a night of authentic Chicago blues. The Tablerockers take pride in being purists: they recreate the post-war sound of the 40s that defined the birth of the blues movement. You’ll hear the best from Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Howlin’ Wolf, Buddy Guy, and more from this Portland group.
