Lace Up Your Boots: Lee Brice is Coming to Spirit Mountain Casino!

March 5, 2019

If you love your music with a healthy dose of blue-collar, southern swag, we have great news for you. Two-time Grammy-nominated Country music star Lee Brice is coming to Spirit Mountain Casino on Saturday, May 18th, and tickets start at just $55!

Brice was born in Sumter, South Carolina, a town he says is all about “working hard and doing right.” He was raised on Gospel music and has cited Willie Nelson and his Aunt Henrietta (Brice has said she “had the groove”) as other early musical influences.

Brice was not only a gifted musician growing up but also a star athlete. He walked on to the football team and played special teams. After injuring his arm, Brice traveled to Nashville to get an understanding of the music business. There, he made a few connections and began his music career full-time.

Brice got his start in Nashville as a songwriter in 2007 and wrote for artists like Jason Aldean, Keith Gattis, and Garth Brooks. He was a co-writer on Brooks’ track “More Than a Memory,” which was the first single in the history of the Billboard Hot Country Songs to debut at number one. Brice’s solo career got a kickstart in 2007 when he released his debut single “She Ain’t Right,” which hit number 29 on the country charts.

Following a few more singles and writing credits, Lee Brice released his debut album Love Like Crazy in June 2010. The album’s first single, of the same name, stayed on the Hot Country Songs chart for 56 weeks, setting a record that had been held since 1948. Since then, Brice has released three more albums which include some of his most popular songs. Tracks like “I Drive Your Truck,” “I Don’t Dance,” and “Drinking Class” all charted in the top 3, with the two former tracks each hitting number one.

In total, Brice has had four number-one singles and was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2014. The nominations were for Best Country Song as well as Best Country Solo Performance for “I Drive Your Truck.” His latest album, the self-titled Lee Brice, was released in 2017 and debuted at number 36 on the Billboard 200 and number 7 on the Top Country Albums chart.

Brice’s rock ‘n roll, gospel, and country influences combine to make a raucous live show that is sure to blow the roof off Spirit Mountain Casino. We’re excited for him to grace our stage, so get your tickets now!
