Our Top 4 Skid Row Songs

August 29, 2018

Skid Row is coming to Spirit Mountain Casino and to get ready for their performance, we’re taking a look at 4 of our favorite songs from the metal rockers. Let’s get to it!

“I Remember You”

“I Remember You” showcased the range of lead singer Sebastian Bach. It’s a romantic ballad that’ll get your blood pumping. Released in 1989 as a single on their debut album, “I Remember You” was received very well from both audiences and radio personalities.

“18 And Life”

Also released as a single off of Skid Row’s debut LP, “18 And Life” tells the story of “Ricky,” an 18-year-old who finds himself in the unfortunate situation of serving prison time for an accidental crime. It’s a tragic tale but one that landed the song in 60th place on VH1’s Best Hard Rock Songs of All Time.

“Youth Gone Wild”

Skid Row’s debut album was practically filled with hit after hit. “Youth Gone Wild” was the very first single from the 1989 album and is considered one of Skid Row’s very best tracks. It had wonderful success and placed #99 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and #20 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks. Over the years, countless bands have covered the song. Skid Row is sure to play this coveted song come November 3rd.

“Wasted Time”

A hard-rock anthem, “Wasted Time,” was the debut single from Skid Row’s second full-length album in 1991. Skid Row barrelled into the early ‘90s with this song and it was one of the last truly mainstream tracks to be released by the band. “Wasted Time” hit #88 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song once again showcased Sebastian Bach’s unrivaled vocal strength and range (especially around 3:11 and 5:11 of the song).
