Songbook Series Artist Profile: Callaghan

  • Date: December 3, 2013

Our first performer in the Songbook Series is the immensely talented Callaghan. Hailing from London, Callaghan made her debut on Britain’s Get Your Act Together, where her musical gifts were compared to the likes of Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, and Sarah McLachlan.

In 2010, Callaghan moved to Atlanta to work with acclaimed producer Shawn Mullins. Their collaboration resulted in Life In Full Color, Callaghan’s first studio album. Since then, she has been featured by everyone from Billboard to BBC for her unique sound and exceptional talent. “Best Year” has been hailed as one of the best indie/folk songs out today, and her other tracks have an infectious energy that will bring a smile to the face of each and every member of the audience.

Shawn Mullins says of Callaghan’s rare musical gift: “The world needs more singer songwriters like Callaghan. In a time where mediocrity is seen as brilliant, Callaghan truly shines through as the real deal. Her voice is original and pure, and she is one of the greatest unsigned talents I've ever heard."

Head to the Event Center on February 1st, 2014 for this special musical event. The doors open at 7:00pm, so grab your favorite cocktail, take a seat, and relax before the show begins at 8:00pm.

This is a unique opportunity to see one of folk music’s finest emerging talents perform in the Pacific Northwest. Tickets go on sale on today and start at just $10, making this event an ideal holiday gift for a friend or loved one.
