Spirit Mountain Casino’s Top 3 Oregon Ski Resorts

December 29, 2016

12 ski areas, 400 runs, 71 lifts: Oregon is a skier's paradise. Nestled in the heart of the Willamette Valley, Spirit Mountain Casino has easy access to some of the state’s best ski resorts. We narrowed down to our top three picks for an awesome winter experience:

Timberline, Mt. Hood
What to expect: Prepare for 3,690 vertical feet ripe for skiing - more than any other ski area in the region. Don’t want to put skis on? Explore the snowshoe trails, take a Snowcat ride to the summit of Mt. Hood, or relax at the lodge. With its rustic architecture, cozy interior, and delectable dining options, it delivers the quintessential ski trip experience.

Why we love it: Timberline is the only ski area in the continent to keep its doors open every month of the year. It also boasts the state’s only slopeside hotel, which doubles as a National Historic Landmark!

Meadows, Mt. Hood
What to expect: Stretching across the southeastern face of Mt. Hood, Meadows provides sun, protection, and accessible trails and exciting challenges for all levels. Warm up at one of the nine restaurants onsite, then head back out to the mountain to take on your next run.

Why we love it: Meadows really does offer something for everyone. Whether you’re strapping on skis for the first time or qualified for the US Ski Team, you’ll find an exhilarating experience - and beautiful views at every turn - waiting for you.

Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort, Mt. Bachelor
What to expect: You have 4,300 acres of snowy terrain to explore in central Oregon’s biggest ski area. With varied terrain, steady snowfall, and 101 unique runs, it’s the crown jewel of Bend’s ski and snowboard scene.

Why we love it: Mt. Bachelor averages 460 inches of light, dry snowfall each year, making it a great place to learn to ski or shred a black diamond. With 360-degree summit views, snowshoe trails, and sled dog tours, there are a seemingly endless number of ways to experience the mountain.

Once you’ve taken your final run, grab your gear and head to Spirit Mountain Casino. You’ll warm right up with hundreds of casino games to choose from - and make the most of your visit with our promotions, too! Skiing and gaming go well together, and we’re lucky to be in a state where you can experience both in one great trip.
