Legendary American rock band, Three Dog Night, is bringing their catalog of classics and hits to the Spirit Mountain stage on Saturday, September 15, 2018! Tickets are on sale now and available starting at the low price of $25.
The group is made up of six talented musicians: the original lead singer, Danny Hutton; alongside the current lineup of Michael Allsup, guitar; Paul Kingery, bass; Pat Bautz, drums; David Morgan, additional vocals; and Howard Laravea, keyboards. While not the original lineup, many of the current members have been playing alongside Hutton since 1982, so they’ve made many classics together. Classics that will surely be played when they hit the stage.
Among their spanning catalog of songs, hits include “Joy to the World,” “Shambala,” “Mama Told Me Not to Come,” and many more.
Listen to Shambala:
Over their 50+ year career, Three Dog Night has had one success after another. They’ve earned 12 gold records containing more than 21 Billboard Top 40 hits. Impressive, to say the least. All the musicians in Three Dog Night are considered extremely talented, but most of their songs were written by outside writers--a practice that is the norm in pop culture back then and still today. In fact, “Mama Told Me Not to Come” was written by famed singer/songwriter Randy Newman while “Shambala” was written by the Pacific Northwest’s own Daniel Moore.
Listen to Mama Told Me Not to Come:
Since 1968, Three Dog Night has released a grand total of 11 studios albums, the last of which, It’s a Jungle, released in 1983. Since then, they’ve been relentlessly touring and playing both nationally and internationally for fans around the world. In fact, in 2000, Three Dog Night was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
Pick up tickets to Three Dog Night today and get ready for a beautiful night of rock classics this September.
