A little bit of pop, a whole lot of country, and a heavy dose of family talent are coming to the Main Event Center on Friday, April 8th. The Band Perry is bringing their unique crossover style to the center stage at Spirit Mountain Casino, and we can’t wait for the show.
The Band Perry is comprised of three siblings: Kimberly, Neil, and Reid. Kimberly, the oldest, started her own band when she was just fifteen. Her brothers came on tour with her as roadies, where they quickly caught the music bug. The siblings decided to join forces and create a band together in 2005.
In 2008, The Band Perry was discovered by Bob Doyle, the manager of country music legend Garth Brooks. He helped the young musicians sign with Republic Nashville record label.
It didn’t take long for fame to follow. “If I Die Young” soared to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Chart, and #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band has released two chart-topping albums and plays to sold-out shows nationwide. The Band Perry was awarded their first Grammy this year for their rendition of the Glen Campbell favorite “Gentle on My Mind.”
Earlier this year, the band dropped “Live Forever,” a single that goes beyond its country roots. Rolling Stone notes that the song shows that The Band Perry is “moving into a new, pop-friendly sonic space” that appeals to pop, rock, and country fans alike. Their new album suggests the same: Heart + Beat is slated for release in early 2016 and promises collaborations with musicians like Pharrell Williams, Diplo, Audra Mae.
Catch the show on Friday, April 8th at 8pm. Plan to get there when the doors open at 7pm to get comfortable before the siblings take the stage. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, January 26th and start at $50. Whether you can’t get “If I Die Young” out of your head or are looking forward to hearing the band’s new material, the show at Spirit Mountain is sure to have something to please every fan. Join us for the night, or make a weekend of it and book your stay at the luxuriousSpirt Mountain Casino Lodge.
